TimeLine Theatre's season opener is an elegant waltz between past and present, fact and speculation, a mother and daughter, and art and life. Set in 1891 in Vienna a music publisher wrote a waltz and sent it to fifty composers asking each one to contribute a variation. Ludwig van Beethoven at first dismisses it. However, he becomes obsessed with the waltz and ends up writing 33 variations.
