Saturday Dec 30th will see the appearance of one of this years most exciting musical acts in Shanghai. Aficionados of Drum’n’Bass cannot help but tingle with excitement at the name of DJ Makoto.

Tokyo based Makoto is Asia's biggest D&B export, a classically trained musician and true breakbeat scientist. His blend of soul, funk, future jazz and cutting edge beats make him a firm favourite with DJ's as diverse as Roni Size, Andy C, Gilles Peterson and even 2003 DMC World Champion, DJ Kentaro. His hugely popular show with his live female singer/MC, Deeizm has taken them to all four corners of the world - this unique and exciting combination is sure to stimulate your mind and move your feet!

This God of the Tokyo dance-floor has won widespread appeal across the globe for such seminal classics as the luxuriously textured 12inch release "Wave" in 1998 and "Butterfly", chosen for one of LTJ Bukem's mix Compilations - Progression Sessions 4 - in 1999. Since these releases, Makoto has gone on to become one of Good Looking's most prolific artists.

Appearing along with DJ Makoto is MC Deeizm, a talented up and coming mc’ing for Makoto as well as other prolific artists. Not only is she the first female signed to the Good Looking label, she is also covering all the areas, including vocalizing, producing, and MC’ing. Although she’s in the early stages of production, her knowledge of music, her past experiences and her ability to play the drums have given her great rhythm and a natural ear for music.
