2nd Annual, Seattle Slack Key Festival features Hawaiian Slack Key Supper Stars: Cyril Pahinui, Jeff Peterson, Kamuela Kimokeo, Kalehua Krug, Blake Leoiki-Haili, George Kuo, Sonny Lim along with Ukulele prodigy Kunia Pahinui-Galdeira also MC Skylark Rosetti and Bruddah Gomes and local hula halau to add to this fantastic line-up. Hawaiian Tropical Flowers and Prize drawings.

Participation is limited so please register early.
Instruct is kanikapila style. Nana ka maka; ho'olohe ka pepeiao -watch with the eyes, and listen with the ears. Thus one learns. This traditional method provides the perfect instruction to this rich tradition. Students of all levels will be guided through simple exercises and solos to create the "slack key" sound.

Slack key can be played on any guitar, acoustic or electric. Students must bring their own guitar or ukulele.
