In collaboration with Moultrie’s Annual Spring Cleanup and Earth Day 2010, Magnolia Manor South is holding its 2nd Annual Green Day Celebration. Magnolia Manor residents and staff invite older adults and generations of all ages to get involved in the Recycle Moultrie Campaign by collecting your newspapers and plastic grocery bags beginning today. Once you have collected your recyclables, drop them off at Magnolia Manor by Thursday, April 22, 2010. The goal is to collect 100 pounds of newspaper and 1,000 plastic grocery bags to be delivered to local recycling centers.

In addition to the 2010 recycling efforts, Mayor William McIntosh, the Colquitt EMC, and the City of Moultrie’s Public Works Department will participate in a Green Day Celebration program on the Magnolia Manor South campus on Thursday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. The community is invited to attend the program to learn more on green initiatives that can help you save money at home and in the office.

For more information on the Green Day Celebration to be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Magnolia Manor South, 3011 Veterans Parkway, Moultrie, please contact Martha or Teresa at (229) 985-0265.
