Sustainable design, green products, and renewable energy…what does it all mean for a sustainable city? Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment and Consolidated Edison co-sponsor the 2nd Annual Green Brooklyn Conference: The Sustainable City. With panels, workshops, exhibitors, and a keynote address, the conference will bring new energy and excitement to discourse on the latest ‘green’ trends and initiatives. Guest speakers include Matthew D. Berman, winner of the Global Green USA and Brad Pitt Sustainable Design award to green New Orleans and Jeffrey Hollender, President and CEO of Seventh Generation. Panels include The Built Environment: Sustainable Development for the 21st Century and The Natural Environment: Conservation, Energy and Sustainable Food for a Cleaner Greener Environment, education workshops on sustainable transportation and worm composting.
