28th Annual Hallockville Museum Farm Fall Festival and Craft Fair

The Hallockville Museum Farm will be holding its 28th Annual Fall Festival on Saturday October 4th and Sunday October 5th. Like last year’s successful 2-day event, this year’s gala will run for an entire weekend – mostly in an effort to accommodate the growing number of visitors who come out to experience this unique look into traditional 1800s North Fork farm life.

The Festival will feature over 50 craftspeople displaying their unique handmade folk art, demonstrations of wool spinning, weaving, quilting, knitting, rug hooking, chair caning, basket making, decoy and woodcarving. Other crowd-pleasing activities include an antique tractor pull, hayrides, food, music, children’s activities, livestock displays, an old-fashioned storyteller and tours of our historic farmstead. Taste and enjoy some of the East End’s premier wines.

Festival hours are 10-5 each day. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children (5 – 12 years) and seniors. A special family (mom, dad and their children) pass is available for $18.

Hallockville Museum Farm, located at 6038 Sound Avenue in Riverhead, is listed on the National Register of Historic Sites. It consists of 28 acres of farmland, three residences and two barns dating back to the 1800s, and numerous outbuildings. Visitors are welcome to walk around the farm at no charge when we’re not holding an event. Docent guided tours are also available. Programs are supported in part by Suffolk County under the auspices of the Office of Cultural Affairs. Contact Herb Strobel at 631-298-5292 for more information.
