28th annual Greek Fest July 7, 2006

Just about 45 miles away from the third largest population of Greeks in the world, yells of "Opa!" will resound as an expected 12,000 people attend the 28th annual Greek Fest from Friday through Sunday at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church in Elgin. The festival is set to open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $2.
