WHAT: Speakers will provide strategies to help families who have children with chronic health care needs overcome the federal and state budget cuts that are impacting essential programs. This conference will also present current information on common chronic health diagnoses. Attendees will have a better understanding of how to assist families navigate the intricacies of the system and manage their inclusion in available community programs. This program is appropriate for educators, health care professionals, parents, policy makers and advocates of children with complex health care needs.

As the challenging economic landscape changes, the resources available for children with special needs are becoming more scarce. At the same time, the need for services has never been greater. This conference will help enlighten stakeholders dealing with these issues and propose strategies that yield the best possible outcomes for children.
