Established in 1751 and most famously known as America's first hospital, Pennsylvania Hospital was also the first hospital in American organized exclusively for the medical treatment and care of people deemed the "sick poor and lunatics." Before that time, psychological and emotional disorders were not treated as curable conditions. Spend an evening with Stacey C.
