To mark its quarter century birthday, the Design Museum asked 25 significant design connoisseurs and purveyors of taste to select their 25 VIPs (very important products). The 25 key objects which have shaped the design landscape over the past 25 years have been chosen by the likes of Terence Conran whose influence on modern living cannot be escaped.
From furniture, to restaurants, bars, hotels, the Ikea-loving generation has been influenced by him whether they like to acknowledge it or not. Of particular interest is Richard Rogers who is also on the panel; as one of our most influential architects, his high-profile projects such as the Pompidou Centre, the Welsh National Assembly and landmark London buildings, Lloyds and the Millennium Dome. Expect to see a celebration of our most iconic and much-loved pieces.
