25 Years After This Bridge Called My Back April 24, 2008

In 1981, 'This Bridge Called my Back' by Cherrie Moraga and Gloria Anzaldua was published, setting an essential precedent, while at the end of the Second Wave of feminism in addressing issues never previously discussed. World renowned feminist scholars, Yvonne Yarbro-Bejarano of Stanford University and Grace Chang of the University of California, Santa Barbara will join professors Jodi O'Brien (Arts and Sciences) and Carmen Gonzalez (School of Law) in discussing the impact of the groundbreaking and consciousness-raising book 'This Bridge Called my Back,' as well as its impact on society and academia during the past 25 years.
