Join us this year as we mark the 10th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Great Glen. The event is held at the Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center in Pinkham Notch, NH, at the base of 6,288 ft. Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast.

The race was first run (with just 11 teams) in 1996 and was one of the first of its kind in New England. The race was held on our carriage roads and single track surrounded by the Northern Presidential Mountains and White Mountain National Forest.

Our goal is to put on an event that is an experience of its own. We want you to have fun, be treated well, have stuff to do (if you want), and to make families with children feel welcome. Again this year, we will have races and games for the kids. The 24 Minutes of Great Glen returns ? with numbers for the kids!

Each year we learn more about what you like and do not like. Can?t please everyone, but we?ll do our best to address the thoughts and suggestions we have received.

Some points for this year:

We are celebrating 10 years of 24 Hour mountain bike racing and want you to be part of it. So?

Dressing up your campsite is HIGHLY encouraged. Prizes will be awarded for best, most creative or something?

Costumes are also encouraged, and again prizes and worldwide recognition will be bestowed on those creative souls who are singled out.

WE HEAR YOU! On Saturday night, ALL riders will be treated to a BBQ under the event tent. We are planning on having music as well. No, you don?t pay extra; this is part of your registration fee. Extra tickets to purchase for family members, friends etc., will be available online. This would be a good time for a costume?.

We will post a new course map with changes soon.

A newly designed Ten in the Glen race jersey will be available online when you register.

All riders will receive a Ten in the Glen T-shirt.

Please note a few rule changes on the Rules Page.

We always say (and mean) it: We continue working on making the awards ceremony timely, fun, and as brief as we can while recognizing you racers. We realize it can be tough to sit through this at the end, but we want to give everyone their due and have time to verify results.

GET SOME REST. Camping is open until Monday at Noon. We encourage you to stay Sunday night and camp. Don?t drive home all trashed and exhausted. Tell your boss today that you will be sick on Monday, August 15.

Registration is online again this year. This year we are using BikeReg.com. Go there to register or reach them through this site.

PLEASE NOTE: NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION THIS YEAR. Registration online ends Monday, August 8 at 5 pm. YOU CAN REGISTER IN PERSON AFTER AUGUST 8 until FRIDAY August 12 at 8:00 P.M. AS LONG AS YOUR ENTIRE TEAM IS PRESENT. The deadline is FRIDAY AUGUST 12 at 8 pm. You will not be able to register on Saturday.
