2012 VCU Cabell First Novelist Award Celebration November 8, 2012

Justin Torres, winner of the 2012 VCU Cabell First Novelist Award, will read from We the Animals. Mr. Torres was recently named to the The National Book Foundation’s “5 Under 35” Fiction program, and his novel has been lauded by critics and named one of “The 10 Best Books of 2011” by the New York Times.

After his reading, Torres will discuss the journey of his novel from its original idea to the published book. A book sale, signing, and reception will follow.
