There are a precious few opportunities to ride on the leading edge of the sport of inline skating. You will not experience a more fun, exciting skating weekend as the one we are plan in one of America's most beautiful areas, the world Famous Napa Valley.

Runners have the Bay to Breakers. Cyclists have the Angen Tour. What do California inline speedskaters have to demonstrate their fantastic skills on the little wheels? It's the Napa Valley Inline Marathon.

Some of America's top inline speed skaters and some hoping to join their ranks will will be heading to the Wine Country to race along a 7 mile closed portion of the Silverado Trail in the 2012 Napa Valley Inline Marathon and Half Marathon.

The skaters will roll past the beautiful vineyards and wineries along a 7 mile closed section of the Silverado Trail in the world famous Napa Wine Valley. The course is entirely on the Silverado Trail from Oak Knoll Ave. to Oakville Cross Road and will be totally closed to car traffic for the race.

The course has everything that makes a fantastic roadskate from the long stretches of flatland to rolling hills. There are some spots where skaters will be going nearly 50 MPH. The road is very smooth "black ice" asphalt all the way. The start line is on the Silverado Trail at Yountville Cross Road.

The event takes place on Sunday, July 8, 2012. The roadway will be closed to traffic from 7:00 AM. to 10:00 AM for the event. There will be two distances for participants of 26.2 mile marathon and a 13.1 mile half marathon distance for recreational and fitness skaters .

Skaters meeting will be at 6:40 A.M. The roadskate will start at 7:00 A.M. SHARP!!!
