The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) will recognize Tad and Dianne Taube and the Koret Foundation for their community leadership and philanthropy at the 2011 Rambam's Ladder Award Dinner and Auction. In addition to the Rambam's Ladder Award presentation, live and silent auctions will raise funds for OFJCC programs and scholarships.

The Taubes are life-long philanthropists who have had a significant impact in the Bay Area by providing support to the California Academy of Sciences, the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Contemporary Jewish Museum; numerous education organizations, including Stanford University, the University of California and the University of San Francisco; and the J. David Gladstone Institutes and Stanford University for research on Huntington's Disease. In addition, Dianne serves on the Boards of the San Francisco Zoo, San Francisco Opera, and Nueva School and Tad is Chairman of Taube Philanthropies and President of the Koret Foundation.

The Koret Foundation invests in strategic, local solutions and bolsters innovative organizations that meet community needs. Since its inception in 1979, the Koret Foundation has added to the region's vitality by directing nearly $130 million to Jewish community programs and organizations, championing such projects as the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life, the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, and the Contemporary Jewish Museum.

The Taubes and the Koret Foundation embody the spirit behind the Rambam's Ladder Award which honors individuals and organizations who, through words and deeds, exemplify righteous giving.

The live and silent auctions will include an array of gifts and services such as two diamond necklaces, a Las Vegas weekend getaway and a one week session at Camp Kimama Israel.
