With live music by THE CORNERS:
After incubating their funky, 60's sound in Oakland as part of the soul/lounge group, The Slippery Slope, bassist Josh Austin, guitarist Oliver Mok, and drummer Tony Sales decided to craft their interpretation of groovy instrumentals, jazz standards and classic R&B and soul. They joined forces with east bay multi-instrumentalist Dave Flores on keys, and the result is an exploration of sound and texture, groove, rhythm, at times danceable, at times intellectual. The Corners look for a way out, and they intend to bring their audience along for the ride.
