The 2010 Japanese Film Festival is a four-day event that showcases major films in the Japanese film industry. This year's selected films explore the darker side of contemporary Japanese cultures with Kamikaze Girls (March 19), Crows Zero (March 20), The Machine Girl (March 26) and Sukiyaki Western: Django (March 27). All films are shown in Japanese with English subtitles. The screenings are free and open to the general public.

The 2010 SMU Japanese Film Festival is sponsored by the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth, SMU Japan Club, John G. Tower Center for Political Studies at SMU and the SMU Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
