The 2010 River City Beer Fest, an Annual Event that supports the Cullather Brain Tumor Quality of Life Center at Bon Secours, will be held at the Diamond May 22 from 12 to 6 p.m. This annual Festival highlights Craft Beer Brewers from across the Nation, allowing patrons to sample many different styles of Beer & Ale. Representatives from the Breweries will be on hand to answer questions and to educate beer consumers on the uniqueness of the different brewing styles.

In addition, there will be music from several local bands, and a children’s fun area. There will also be great food from area restaurants and caterers.

The entire proceeds from this event benefit the Cullather Brain Tumor Quality of Life Center at Bon Secours. This Center was opened in 2007 at St. Mary’s Hospital as a resource/support center for patients and families coping with a brain tumor diagnosis. The Center is providing guidance, free of charge, for over 300 patients in our Community. Staffing for this event is provided by Center Volunteers. Event produced by Blind Squirrel Productions, a local organization whose sole mission is to provide support to the fight against cancer.

Promotional partners include Cox Radio, Loveland Distributing, Siewers Lumber and Henrico Bonding Company.

Music provided by Big Boss Combo, Haze and the Transients, Bart Chucker Band, the Antero Reggae Band and the Lance Manley Band. And as always, Jonathan Austin, the magical juggler!
