2008 Windy City Ski and Snowboard Show October 23, 2008

The 1st annual Windy City Ski & Snowboard show promises “bigger” and “better” for winter sports fans. Hundreds of ski & snowboard manufacturers, top local retailers, ski & snowboard clubs, hosted seminars and winter destination resorts will fill a 70,000 square foot convention center to showcase the latest and greatest in winter sports. Champion skiers and snowboarders will be on hand to sign autographs and take photos.

The Windy City Ski & Snowboard show is created by Bob Olson (owner/operator Viking Ski & Snowboard Shop) and Chris Bachman (owner/operator Shred Shop), two major fixtures in the ski and snowboard industry.

Guest visitors: Gretchen Blier, women’s snowboard Olympic silver medalist and member of K2 Snowboarding, Steve Fisher, currently ranked #1 in the half-pipe by USSA; Jeannie Thoren, member of the 1st Annual Skiing for Women Hall of Fame; Patrick McCarthy and Ryan Thompson of 686 Pro Team riders; Brad Holmes, youngest member of the US Freestyle Ski and many more.
