GREETINGS! Welcome to The Hope Mountian Barter Faire (HMBF)
*The Faire is open to members who agree to our Family's code of conduct: We invite loving, thinking, responsible, cooperative, nonviolent participants.
* We are in the process of healing ourselves and our Mother Earth and encourage homegrown, wholesome handcrafted items.
* We are creating a safe and spirit-filled event for our family, please NO TRADING of junk food and war toys.
* Respect your neighbors and make your example one you wish to spread.
* Have fun and thanks for coming!

HONOR THE EARTH: The Hope Mountain Barter Faire is a family camp out and harvest festival. Respect, caring, love and consciousness make the Faire a safe and healthy place for all ages. The Barter Faire promotes commerce and lifestyles which do not exploit Earth or her inhabitants.

WHAT IS BARTERING? Barter builds community! Bartering is trading things of value between individuals. You can trade your time and skills, (childcare, gardening, plumbing, designing rain water catchments, etc.), craftwork, (baskets, beadwork, art, etc.), garden or wild produce, and usefull items (seeds, books, toys, wood stoves, tools, etc.). Use your imagination - the possibilities are endless.
Bartering promotes human interaction and interdependence that is the heart of our community.

SAFTEY: Prevention is the best remedy. Get enough rest, stay warm, fed and hydrated. Watch out for members of your group. Be your brother's and sister's keeper.

ZERO WASTE: Bring your own dishes (dishwashing available on site): Waste: Pack it in - Pack it out.

THIS IS A ZERO WASTE FAIRE!
*Volunteers who make prior arrangements can receive a free pass or booth space. We need you!

Please Phone: *541-592-4458

BOUNDARIES: The Fair boundaries are clearly marked. Do not cross them. Please respect your neighbors.
NO FIRES: No Fires in the trade circle or camping areas. We've had very little rain, so please exercise extream caution. No BBQ's. No fireworks. Fire danger is HIGH.

WATER: Make sure you drink enough. Bring your own water or buy it. The water on site is very limited.

FIRST AID: is available on site by trained, experienced staff. Can you help with first aid supplies or service? Go to the First Aid Tipi and let them know. Basic first aid supplies are available at the Gate.

COMMUNICATION: HMBF is linked by radio and cell phone service. Emergencies are best directed to the Gate, Security or First Aid.

SECURE YOUR VEHICLE.

KIDS AREA: Open light until dark. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

FREE WORKSHOPS: Learn or teach a new skill. Come to the Community Workshop Fire Tipi to check out the schedule.
MAKING CAMP: We encourage strong Bater Faire neighborhoods. Self-policing works! Coordinate with your neighbors and take

responsibility for your area's health and safety. The HMBF is not responsible for your camp. Each one of us must set good standards. If you see someone setting a bad example, help them out gently. If a problem is bigger than you can handle, go to Security or the Gate.

ABOUT THE DOME SCHOOL
The Dome School is a parent cooperative that began in a dome in the 1970's. Through hands-on learning, we are finding ways to actively engage ourselves and our children in shaping our culture and our economy. Today the Dome School operates in the Takilma Community Building and offers preschool, kindergarden and elementary programs. In order to keep the tution affordable, the Dome School Family does a lot of fundraising and volunteering.
Thank you all for your support!
