It is our pleasure to invite you to the 1st Congress of Cereal Biotechnology & Breeding, May 24–27, 2011, Szeged, Hungary. CBB2011 keynote lectures summarize the most important fields of cereal science.

Contributions from all over the world focusing on the hot topics of cereal research are warmly welcome:

+ Cereal genomics (biotic stress resistance)

+ Cereal genetic transformation

+ Cytoplasmic male sterility and fertility restoration (rice)

Selected papers of the Conference will be published in a special issue of Cereal Research Communications (CRC), which will be edited by an international editorial board connected to the board of CRC.

Szeged, the host town of the congress is situated in the southern part of the Hungarian Great Plain, one of the biggest cereal production areas in Europe. This town is also the most important city of plant science in Hungary. Congress participants will have a chance to visit the most important places of plant science research.
