Vancouver’s legendary night spot – Bar None – turns 19 on Thursday Dec 1st. Over the years, Yaletown’s only nightclub has played host to talent from Pete Rock and Digital Underground to Felix Da Housecat and Bad Boy Bill, been enjoyed by celebrities like Jessica Alba and David Beckham - and of course Vancouver’s finest party people. The loft-style, classic wood and brick room has survived trends from the bad martinis and cigars of the ‘Swingers’-era 90s to the bad hip hop of the early 2000s. But one thing has always remained the same – Bar None’s adherence to class, no matter what style the decade dictates. 'Outside the Skyline' is the third album from Miguel Migs and includes collaborations with an extraordinary range of vocal talents: original disco diva Evelyn "Champagne" King, first lady of musicianship Meshell Ndegeocello, Berlin based singer Georg Levin, bossa nova phenomenon Bebel Gilberto, UK soul sensation Sonny J Mason, and reggae legends Half Pint, Freddie McGregor and Capleton, alongside two vocalists who have been regular co-conspirators over the years, Aya and Lisa Shaw.
