TownSquare Players presents '1776,' written by Sherman Edwards and Peter Stone. Based on the events in 1776 leading to the writing and signing of the Declaration of Independence, this classic musical ran for over 1200 performances on Broadway and won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical. John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and others who debated whether to separate from England are more than just "Founding Fathers;" they were real people with real emotions, and this musical brings these men and historic events to life.
