The International Immunocompromised Host Society is planning its 16th International Symposium on Infections in the Immunocompromised Host in Budapest, Hungary from Sunday 27th to Wednesday 30th June 2010.

The outstanding scientific program includes key sessions on infections from all aspects of immunocompromise led by an internationally renowned faculty giving plenary talks, round table sessions, and meet the professor meetings. The poster session encourages one-to-one discussions between faculty, presenters and delegates.

The meeting is designed for infectious disease specialists, hematologists, oncologists, transplant physicians, microbiologists, immunologists and others with an interest in infections in the immunocompromised host.

Our 2008 Symposium drew participants from over 40 countries. The 2010 meeting will once again foster the interchange of science and medicine in the context of the latest approaches to the care of immunocompromised patients.

The venue for the 16th symposium is Budapest, Hungary. Budapest is a city with a long and interesting history and also a major cultural meeting place. It is situated on the river Danube.

The format of the 16th meeting will be similar to our previous meetings with plenary talks, symposia, roundtables, poster and Meet the Expert sessions. The 16th Symposium in Budapest will once again offer excellent science and medicine in a superb venue.

I look forward to greeting you in Hungary!
