16th MTNL Perfect Health Mela October 2, 2009

MTNL Perfect Health Mela as a module for creating health awareness was conceptualized by Heart Care Foundation of India, for the first time in 1993 and the world's first Perfect Health Mela was organized at Talkatora Cricket grounds. Govt. of India earmarked the event by releasing Rs. 6.50 postal commemorative stamp. Later this concept was adopted officially by Min. of Health & Family Welfare Division under the Swasthya Mela scheme and organized melas all over the country.
