This Pride event of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender community in the San Gabriel Valley includes Lifestyle & Business exhibitors, a Classic Car Show, screening of OutFest Shorts, Legendary Bingo and a Kids and Family area. The event is FREE.
Returning this year is the popular Lifestyle & Business Expo featuring business and community organizations serving the San Gabriel Valley GLBT community. The Classic Car Show will feature about 20 classic cars on Holly St. and is supported by Great Autos of Yesteryear. The sight of a classic Thunderbird or Rolls Royce in Old Town Pasadena is not to be missed!
Wild and crazy Legendary Bingo will be hosted by Bingo Boy and Belle Aire. Young and old, gay or straight and everything in-between, ask anyone who has experienced Legendary Bingo in West Hollywood and they’ll tell you “Where’s the cash? We never win cash!” But the prizes are very cool. OutFest Shorts such as "25 Things I Did During My Big Fat Lesbian Depression," "Laundromat," "Just," and "Get Happy" will screen FREE.
Families are once again invited to participate in the day’s celebration of Pride as organizers have made plans for a families with kids area. In addition to the play area in Memorial Park, there will be activities and games. Everyone is encouraged to picnic in Memorial Park as it is open to the public.
The event is co-sponsored by US Census 2010 and the City of Pasadena. Other sponsors include the Pasadena Playhouse, Phoenix Wellness Center, KP Pride (Kaiser Permanente's GLBT Employee group), AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Altadena Community Church, the Uptown Gay and Lesbian Alliance, Pasadena Gayborhood and the Long Beach Community Business Network.
San Gabriel Valley Pride, Inc. is a fully recognized not-for-profit charitable corporation with the mission to educate and raise awareness of the community at large about Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender culture; to instill a sense of pride and respect among members of the GLBT community.
