For the 14th year in a row, SF IndieFest presents an awesome abundance of awesomeness with a mightily monstrous mix of maverick movies and mayhem.
Here's a brief example of the extreme excellent-ness of this year's program: we're showing THE FP, no doubt the best post-apocalyptic dance-fight video game movie you've ever seen; CLOWN, the most sick and wrong (and hilarious) Danish buddy film you've ever seen; BULLHEAD, Belgium's Oscar candidate for this year and probably your first introduction to Euro-backwoods crime culture. We're showing EXLEY, the latest underground masterpiece by Canuxploitation pioneer Larry Kent. And a sweet local comedy called JUKO'S TIME MACHINE, just in time for Valentines Day. Though, if you prefer to spend Valentines Day yelling your lungs out to classic anti-love Power Ballads, put the LOVE BITES: 80s POWER BALLAD SING A LONG on your calendar.

The festival opens with Abel Ferrara's new film 4:44 LAST DAY ON EARTH at the Roxie on Feb 9. Both Ferrara and the film's star Shanyn Leigh are expected to attend.

There are a couple other special programs in the line up as well: Join the Bay Area Derby Girls for the premiere of SKATER 26, followed by a derby-tastic after party; and be sure to check out the latest found footage/live theater show by EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE.

And our Closing Night screening + dance party at Public Works featuring the local premiere of GIRL WALK // ALL DAY (an epic dance music video set to Girl Talk's album ALL DAY, co-presented with NYC's video/dance party merrymakers CHERYL.

But wait, there's more more more, like IndieFest's annual BIG LEBOWSKI PARTY, a DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION THROWDOWN and ROLLER DISCO PARTY (both at CellSpace) and something like 80 more great films in the line up. οΎ
