The Toronto Marathon is the largest and oldest marathon in Toronto, generating $15 million to the local economy each year. Over 10,000 participants from 30 + counties are expected to participate in the Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K or Relay on October 14, 2007. Since 1995, the Toronto Marathon has generated over $5 million for its various charitable partners including the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, Hemophilia, Multiple Sclerosis, Toronto Foundation for Student Success, ICA Canada and the Canadian Athletes Now Fund. This year the event welcomes Diabetes, Orbis Canada and the Mikey Network to its charitable roster.
