"Family, food, fun and sun" are on tap at the 13th Annual Dive N' Surf Redondo Beach Lobster Festival set for Friday, September 26, (5:00 pm to 11:00 pm), Saturday, September 27 (noon to 11:00 pm), and Sunday, September 28, (noon to 9:00 pm) at the Seaside Lagoon located at 200 Portofino Way in Redondo Beach, California. The event is presented by Redondo Beach-based Dive N' Surf and Body Glove, together with the Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. General admission is $12, $5 for kids ages three to 12 years old and FREE for children under three years old. There is also a $2 coupon available online for general admission at LobsterFestival.com.
This "all new" event, which will appeal to the whole family, will highlight live bands including "Too Rude," the "Couchois Brothers," "Player" and the "John Brown Band." Kids will delight in their own Children's Area featuring a Jim Gamble Puppet Show, Pirate Ship Bounce House, Kids Arts & Crafts, Book Readings and the Wyland Mobile Learning Center. Professional Wakeboarding demonstrations and fashion shows spotlighting all the latest Body Glove and Dive N' Surf fashions will also be a part of the weekend festivities.
Participants can purchase delectable food such as fresh Maine lobster meals with roasted red potatoes, coleslaw, bread and butter. Two online lobster packages are available, including the Small Louie - a 1.25 pound lobster dinner with roasted red potatoes, coleslaw, bread and butter, an official Lobster Festival T-shirt and admission into the Festival for $30.00 per person and a Large Louie - a 2.25 pound lobster with roasted red potatoes, coleslaw, bread and butter, an official lobster festival T-shirt and admission into the Festival for $50.00 per person.
