10th Melrose Run for Women May 13, 2007

3.5 Mile road race for Women organized by the Melrose Running Club.


Fast becoming a Melrose tradition, approximately 400 women gather each year for this family event honoring mothers and children. Kids races kick the day off, followed by the main event, a 3.5 mile run/walk which winds through the scenic and peaceful Swains Pond section of the city. The race finishes up with children handing out flowers, a bounty of baked goods and coffee, music, massages, and awards.

A portion of your entry fee is donated to the Melrose Alliance Against Violence. MAAV is a domestic violence prevention and education organization in Melrose. Since the races inception in 1998 the Melrose Running Club has donated $35,000 to the MAAV.
