100 Voices: A Journey Home Encore Event Scheduled For November 11 To Meet Demand In Sold-out Theaters November 11, 2010

By popular demand, a rebroadcast of the 100 Voices: A Journey Home in-theater Fathom event is scheduled for Thursday, November 11 at 7:00 p.m. local time. The original event was presented in nearly 500 movie theaters on September 21, with many locations selling-out across the country. An encore event is scheduled in select theaters to meet the exceptionally high demand for tickets in markets across the country.

The encore Fathom event will feature an exclusive, specially-produced piece by the Milken Archive of Jewish Music: The American Experience. Memories of the American Yiddish Theater
showcases the actors and musicians of New York City’s legendary Second Avenue that made three generations of European immigrants laugh, cry and exit the theater humming exquisite and timeless melodies. The top vocal talent from the world of modern Jewish music recreates these songs in both the recording studio and in a thrilling, one-night-only performance at Walt Disney Concert hall in Los Angeles.

Directed by Danny Gold and Matthew Asner, 100 Voices: A Journey Home is a celebration of song, faith and tradition. This encore event offers a unique and moving look at the intertwined Polish and Jewish history and culture through the eyes and music of some of the world’s fines Jewish cantors.
