- The Cantata Project - June 2012 Cycle June 30, 2012

The Chicago Bach Ensemble will be performing its second cycle of the Bach Cantata Project after its highly successful cyle in March 2012. On the program are four cantatas of Johann Sebastian Bach. Vocal text and translations will be displayed on a screen during the concerts.

A special treat this cycle will be the guest appearance by baritone Levi Hernandez. Mr. Hernandez, who has appeared at the Metropolitan Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Houston Grand Opera and the San Francisco Opera and is featured at Grant Park later this summer, will be singing the solo bass cantata BWV 56.
