Zy-IMAGEnation Summit September 24, 2008

ZyLAB is sponsoring the 2008 Zy-IMAGEnation Summit, a two-day professional education program on information access technologies and best-practice policies affecting corporations and government agencies. The 2008 event theme is "Where Operational Efficiency Lives: The Confluence of Records & E-mail Management, E-Discovery and Knowledge Management." This year's event takes place 24 - 25 September, 2008, at the Hotel Monaco in historic Alexandria, VA.

The event is divided into two distinct parts: The first day consists of interactive seminars with knowledge leaders in best-practice policies and supporting business technologies. The second day offers training sessions in best-practice methodologies from experts in information access technologies.

The keynote speaker is George Socha, one of the driving forces behind the EDRM project, the internationally recognized standard for developing and conducting e-discovery activities.

The program's other prominent speakers are presenting the following topics: an in-depth profile of how procedures for records and e-mail management and e-discovery can merge to form complete enhanced frameworks for knowledge management and information sharing across organizations; a project overview profiling how millions of archived documents are being made accessible and searchable online; and a best practices review of effective e-mail management techniques used by a government agency to enhance efficiency and mitigate legal risk.

Second-day training topics will include best-practice methodologies for preparing for and conducting e-discovery activities, conceptualizing and implementing filing plans, managing e-mail archives, and understanding the impact of Google and MS Sharepoint integrations in organizational contexts.

All participants are invited to join ZyLAB's 25th anniversary party, a first-evening riverboat cruise on the Potomac River, which includes a cocktail reception, dinner and Casino Night.
