World vocalist Zera Vaughan will be performing at The Nocturnal Bar’s Swank Club Night on Thursday, May 24th at 10:00 p.m. Zera’s unique east meets west style of music utilizes her soft, seductive voice –mixing English with French lyrics – creating melodies firmly rooted in a middle eastern sound, sprinkled with jazz and laced with a hip, hop backdrop making this style of world music all her own.

Zera’s new album Back to the Roots released in the spring of 2007 and is produced by musical director Amir Efrat. Her music has been a long time Los Angeles favorite selling out shows at such hotspots as Tangiers, The Gig, The Whiskey, and The Lava Lounge. Zera has also performed at numerous music festivals around the world. Her energetic live performances evoke her eclectic cultural background combining hip shaking drum based numbers, heart wrenching ballads, and nods to her Tunisian background.
