Zagreb Pride 2008 June 24, 2008

Zagreb Pride 2008 will take place from June 25 to 28 with logistical support from Common Zone and Queer Zagreb. The Pride March and concert will take place on Saturday, June 28 at 11AM.

Gathering will be at Trg maršala Tita (Marshall Tito Square), passing through the main square, Trg bana Jelačića, and end at Cvjetni Trg (Flowers Square).

Activities planned include:

o May 31 Non-violent resistance workshop
o Exhibitions
o June 25 – Opening ceremony: Raising the rainbow flags on the main Zagreb square including a short performance by the Croatian female LGBTIQ choir “Le Zbor”.
o June 27 – Discussion, movie screenings
o June 28 – The Pride March - Proud, loud and multicolored Pride March passes through the very center of the city of Zagreb making a tour from the Croatian National Theater (Marshall Tito Square) over the main Zagreb square (Ban Jelacic Square) to the Cvjetni square. Including speeches after the March with program has settled on the Cvjetni square.
o Club events (depending on security reasons and possible Pride March outcome).
