YogicArts Intensive Workshop with Duncan Wong, at Devi Yoga (MPK, CA) September 28, 2008

Led by Duncan Wong, the founder and creator of Yogic Arts, you will explore the awakening of source energy that pulsates at the core of your being in a transformational yoga immersion workshop. Following the mantra Know Your Body - Know the Universe, the intention of this workshop is to create an experience of physical enlightenment, the foundation of ancient higher mind principles.

Part I - Solar Yang AM Practice: Warrior Salutations & Jumping Principles.
Through cultivating a mindful approach towards facilitating access to your intended design, you will learn precise techniques that will guide your instinctual drive to shift your power focus from the back to the front. By re-engaging and refining the bio-energetic power of the Bandhas, internal energy valves which comprise the core musculature of the pelvis, abdomen and waist, with a consciously initiated breath movement of Pranic life-force energy, you will be guided to explore ways through which to channel your attention to being present within the action. Awaken your ability to float in and out of poses, break down the biomechanics with slides and jumps from the ground up to the wall and discover how to fall with lightness and grace. Come and learn how to build a superior, correct beginner friendly foundation to your practice.

Part II - Lunar Yin PM Practice: Sacred Body Temple Therapy.
In the second part of the workshop you will be given simple and effective tools through which to create a direct experience of your core body temple. You will have the opportunity to feel how the Prana-Shakti, or breath spirit, activates and aligns your inner vision with the experience of pure flow. We will also explore the restorative and comprehensive approach to creating an atmosphere of sacred touch in a healing environment, which is intended to serve as a complimentary balancing practice to the more dynamic morning session.
