Yerba Buena Gallery Walk October 25, 2008

Join 13 galleries in the Yerba Buena neighborhood as they join together to publicly celebrate the area's diverse artistic offerings. Visitors are invited to explore the art galleries located between Market and Harrison, 2nd and 5th Streets, interact with other art lovers, engage with the artistic offerings, and enjoy refreshments provided by neighborhood eateries.

This is the third Yerba Buena Gallery Walk, sponsored by the Yerba Buena Alliance. The first Gallery Walk in 2007 included 6 participating galleries and 500 visitors, the second Gallery Walk in the Spring of 2008 nearly doubled the number of participating galleries and welcomed nearly 1,500 visitors. Anticipating a significant growth in visitors at the upcoming Gallery Walk, Heather Hoell, Executive Director of the Yerba Buena Alliance, notes, "The Yerba Buena Gallery Walk is the perfect opportunity to spend a tailor-made Saturday afternoon exploring the richness of the neighborhood's visual arts and enjoying offerings from local restaurants. With 13 participating galleries there is something here for everyone."

The Yerba Buena Gallery Walk offers free admission and ample opportunities to experience art while enjoying complimentary refreshments provided by B Restaurant and Bar, Beard Papa, Educated Palate at City College, Hotel Palomar/Fifth Floor, Oola Restaurant and Bar, Roe Restaurant and Lounge, Samovar Tea Lounge, and Supperclub, along with free easy-to-follow maps available at each gallery.

All of the galleries are within 2 1/2 blocks of each other, and are easily accessible by public transit. Parking available.
