Yannick Nézet-Séguin: Carmen September 1, 2011

This presentation of Bizet’s Carmen, starring Elïna Garanca as the seductive gypsy of the title, drew a record audience for its original screening on January 16, 2010, with Canadian talent Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducting in his acclaimed Met debut. Nézet-Séguin is set to become Musical Director of the prestigious Philadelphia Orchestra in 2012. He remains Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Orchestra Metropolitan of Montreal.
