Over the course of 6 weeks, you will gather with other interesting people who, like you, want to write in an inspiring and fun environment. You'll be guided by an experienced instructor who will help you write and refine your story.

At the end of the 6 weeks, you will have written a short story (yes, you!), and have become part of a fun and supportive community.

Skywriter Series was founded over four years ago by Holly Payne, acclaimed author of The Virgin's Knot and The Sound of Blue. Holly teaches fiction and screenwriting in San Francisco and at private workshops throughout the country.

Fall 2008 Instructor: Tom Formaro has taught writing to a wide range of students - from college programs to at-risk youth in San Francisco. He received his M.A. from Iowa State University, and has written and published short stories. His debut novel, The Broken Heart Diet, is about a lovelorn San Francisco chef who cooks up a cure for heartache, and in the process finds true love.

Workshops are limited to 8 participants.

Every session is held at the historic Fort Mason in the Marina District of San Francisco, every Tuesday evening from 7pm - 9pm. There is plenty of parking available.

The cost is $495 which includes materials.

Reserve your place in the next session today, with a deposit of $195 (non-refundable). Please email [email protected].
