The 2007 World Flute Fest will take place on Saturday, November 3rd from 1-5pm at the stately Chapel of the Chimes at 4499 Piedmont Ave. in Oakland, California. Concerts, Workshops, Exhibits, Chair-Massage, Refreshments. FREE but donations to benefit I.D.A. (In Defense of Animals) www.idausa.org will be accepted.

Featuring: Ravichandra Kulur (Indian Bansuri player currently on a world tour with Anoushka Shankhar), Skip Healy (Internationally-acclaimed Irish Wooden Flute Player and Maker www.skiphealy.com ), Roger Glenn (Jazz Legend, played and recorded with the likes of Chick Corea, Cal Tjader Dizzy Gillespie and other jazz greats), Carol Alban (Composer and Principal Flutist with the Bay Area Chamber Symphony), Philip Gelb (Japanese Shakuhachi), Eric Fraser (Bansuri player), Bay Area Chamber Symphony Players (including flutists Nancy Tyler and Antonia David), Tim Barsky (beat-boxing flutist), Alan Lechusza (multi-instrumentalist), Alvenson Moore (vocalist), the San Francisco Flute Quartet, the Fluteville Flute Choir and others.
