Cinema is the pre-eminent art of the last 100 years. This course will inform your cinematic adventures, allowing you to appreciate the cinema arts and speak confidently about this exciting and enriching art form. Each of three sessions will be devoted to a different aspect of world cinema. Each workshop includes a feature length film.

Ingmar Bergman was a master of a cinema of angst, punctured spirituality, madness, and our tenuous place in the universe. His work offers an unparalleled exploration of the very nature of the human soul.

The workshops will be led by Garth Twa whose extraordinary background, knowledge and experience is matched only by his passion and enthusiasm for film. Most recently he taught Film/Media at Westminster Kingsway College in London, Uxbridge College and University of Sussex in the UK.
