Welcome to an evening of unremitting drama as two of Australia's finest actors, John Waters and Brett Tucker, transport you to a terrifying and ghostly world in The Woman in Black.

Eel Marsh House stands tall, gaunt and isolated on England's bleak East Coast. Here Mrs Alice Drablow lived - and died - alone. Young Arthur Kipps, a junior solicitor, is ordered to travel up from London to attend her funeral and sort out all her papers. His task is a lonely one, and at first Kipps is quite unaware of the tragic secrets which lie behind the house's shuttered windows. He only has a terrible sense of unease. And then, he glimpses a young woman with a wasted face, dressed all in black, at the back of the church during Mrs Drablow's funeral, and later, in the graveyard to one side of Eel Marsh House. Who is she? Why is she there? The locals cannot or will not give him answers. So, Arthur Kipps has to wait until he sees her again, and she slowly reveals her identity to him - and her terrible purpose.

From London's West End comes The Woman in Black, one of the most exciting, gripping and successful theatre events ever staged. John Waters, currently starring in All Saints is one of Australia's most respected theatrical, television and film actors. Brett Tucker of McLeod's Daughters' fame has enjoyed roles in television and film in Australia and the United States and he returns to the stage in The Woman in Black.

Unanimously acclaimed by the critics, Stephen Mallatratt's adaptation of Susan Hill's bestselling novel combines the power and intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality inspired by the world of film noir. This new Australian production is produced by newtheatricals, Lunchbox Theatrical Productions and the Singapore Repertory Theatre.
