Hope to Health

Join H2H and WITI for an evening with Dr. James B. Spies, expert in the treatment of uterine fibroids

Did you know that 20-40% of women have uterine fibroid tumors?
Many experience no symptoms, but those who do often suffer
from heavy bleeding and pelvic pain. Traditionally, hysterectomy has
been the treatment of choice. But Dr. James B. Spies, chairman of the
radiology department at Georgetown University School of Medicine,
offers a non-surgical alternative, embolization. Hope to Health is
delighted to bring him to El Camino Hospital so he can share his expertise, enabling women to
make informed health decisions.

Hope to Health, a group of the El Camino Hospital Foundation, is a committee of concerned women
who believe in the power of shared philanthropy to improve the health of women in our community. Any
woman making a minimum $1000 tax-deductible donation is eligible to become a voting member of H2H
