Winter Jam NYC February 6, 2010

Winter Jam NYC is an annual winter sports festival that encourages New Yorkers to get out and enjoy the outdoors in the colder months!

Think you have what it takes to ride the rails? Then bring your snowboard and sign up for the Switch Academy Rail Jam at the Bandshell, presented by Mountain Creek and Red Bull! We’ll also be screening Project X, a short movie that documents Shaun White’s Olympic training, to show you how the pros do it!

Head down to the Lake Placid Snow Field and strap on a pair of cross-country skis or snowshoes! Or make a snow sculpture with friends. Our partners at ORDA will be blowing snow for a week leading up to the event, so there will be plenty of snow to go around!

If you get hungry, head over to the Pride of New York Winter Market for some free samples and refreshments from local producers.
