GiraMondo Wine Adventures cordially requests the pleasure of your company at the Embassy of Austria for a very special Austrian wine tasting and culinary adventure, dedicated to Austria's finest wines and winemakers.

7:00pm Welcome remarks by Austrian Ambassador or Trade Attaché

7:10 pm: short presentation on the wines of Austria. Laurent Guinand, president of GiraMondo Wine Adventures will present the Austrian terroirs, varietals, wine making history and techniques

7:30pm: Taste at your own pace 7 different Austrian wines and Austrian Dinner buffet style

• Wine Selection:

Two Gruner Vertliner wines: The signature white grape of Austrian producing crisp and fruity white wines (green apple, grapefruit)



Two Zweigelt wines: The signature red grape of Austria, producing wonderful medium bodied reds with fragrances of currants and pepper



One Pinot Noir: Austria’s terroir and climate provides excellent conditions to develop the raspberry and leather aromas found in excellent Pinot Noirs



One Saint Laurent: A little known but full bodied varietal that delivers heavy reds so enjoyable in the winter (cherry and spice aromas)



One dessert wine: A late harvest blend of 3 white varietals: Pinot Blanc, chardonnay and Schereube



We will pair the wine with delicious food prepared by Austrian chef Raimund Stiegler.

• Dinner Menu:

Chicken Granciola :Tender chicken breast topped with a succulent mix of broccoli, crabmeat, and mozzarella cheese in a creamy white wine sauce"

Jaeger Schnitzel : A favorite Austrian specialty! Lightly sautéed and breaded boneless Veal topped with mushrooms and served in a brown gravy.



We also offer a selection of typical Austrian side dishes: sautéed potatoes, Spaetzle (an Austrian pasta like delicacy), and mixed vegetables.



Sachertorte :The famous "death by chocolate" cake created by the world renowned Konditorei Sacher in Austria.



Your choice of Cheese or Apple Strudel :A delicious puff pastry with a filling of sweet cream cheese or apple and cinnamon.
