Noted guest singers Alli Mauzey and Nicole Parker, both having performed in the hit musical Wicked on Broadway, will join the Greensboro Symphony POPS with Resident Conductor, Nathaniel Beversluis for an evening of musical highlights from the Great White Way as Wicked Divas will come to White Oak Amphitheatre on Friday, September 30th at 7:30 p.m. The event is part of the United Arts Council of Greater Greensboro’s 17 Days Festival.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, August 5 at 10 a.m.

Wicked Divas, a concert of diva showstoppers from Broadway, opera and popular music is highlighted by selections from the Tony-award winning Broadway musical Wicked. The program also includes favorites from Gypsy, Ragtime, Titanic and opera selections from George Bizet's Carmen.

Guest Artist Bios:

Alli Mauzey
Alli most recently starred as Glinda in the final San Francisco company of Wicked. She also starred as Glinda in Wicked on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include the love-crazed Lenora in the new musical Cry-Baby, for which she won the Theatre World Award and was nominated for a Drama League Award. Alli also originated the role of Lenora in the Pre-Broadway production of Cry Baby at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, where she won the Theatre Critics Circle Award. She played Brenda in Hairspray on Broadway and the first national tour.

Nicole Parker
This past spring, Nicole created the role of Red in The People in the Picture with Donna Murphy on Broadway. Other Broadway credits include Elphaba in Wicked, and Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me. Nicole has also appeared as Rosemary in How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying with Reprise! in Los Angeles, and Juliet in The Second City's Romeo and Juliet Musical at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. For six years, Nicole was a cast member and contributing writer on Fox's MADtv. Her films include Funny People, directed by Judd Apatow.
