Are you comfortable with the agreements you sign? What distinguishes a bad career move from the opportunity of a lifetime? Demystify the types of agreements and key terms relevant to consulting, from the point of view of both the consultant and of those who enlist consultants and experts to support their businesses. After a prepared hypothetical designed to provide a backdrop for the issues, concerns, and considerations inherent to any consultancy, we'll open the floor for your questions. This interactive presentation will address:

* Simple tools to deconstruct your agreements.
* Boilerplate: The legalese you can’t afford to ignore.
* Developing an agreement that supports intent.
* Pressure points: What is negotiable? Exposure and liability issues.
* Tools to leverage a win-win situation.
* When, why and how to involve your lawyer: Tips for managing your legal needs: your lawyer works for you.
* Professional insurance = peace of mind.

Whatever your role, whether you are a consultant by choice or circumstance, you'll gain knowledge to make your career and business moves seamless and successful.
