Whole Foods Market at Short Pump will open the company’s first on-site “field-to-store” community garden in June. Produce grown in the Whole Foods Market Village Garden will be sold in the store and will also be featured in some of the store’s prepared foods and salad bars. The Village Garden will truly be a “community” garden and will include educational programming and workshops for area residents and school children, as well as plots that anyone can rent to grow their own fruits and vegetables.
