The Federalist Society presents John Steele Gordon. John Steele Gordon has been writing about business and financial history for more than25 years. The author of seven books, including An Empire of Wealth: The Epic History of American Economic Power (2004), he wrote the “Business of America” column for American Heritage for18 years and now writes a business history column for Barron’s called “The Long View.” He writes frequently for such publications as Commentary, The American, and The Wall Street Journal op-ed page. A revised edition of his book on the history of the national debt, Hamilton’s Blessing (1997), will be out this fall.
