Whiskey Island & Historic Coast Guard Station Bicentennial May 16, 2008

As part of River Day 2008, sponsored by Friends of the Crooked River.

Celebrate 200 years of Cuyahoga County at Whiskey Island and the historic Coast Guard Station. Self-guided walking tours of the Coast Guard Station grounds and Wendy Park. Bring bicycles, kayaks, cameras and stay for entertainment and refreshments at the Sunset Grill.

3pm: discussion of the future of the Coast Guard Station, the Whiskey Island Towpath Trail connector and the Port Authority's plan to expand operations to Whiskey Island Marina.
